What we protect today is the start of a better future.
We believe healthy ecosystems and thriving communities are inseparable. Restoring a river strengthens the community around it. When we care for nature, we are building something communities can stand on: resilience, dignity, and hope.
We partner with communities, governments, leaders, educators, and partners to help shape the initiatives that restore landscapes, strengthen livelihoods, expand opportunity, and build a future worth inheriting. Because caring for Mother Earth is really about caring for each other.
Where Man and Nature Meet
The challenges ahead are to restore the environment and provide economic opportunity and improve the education and health of the community. We don’t treat them like that because they don’t sit in isolation.
Landscapes of Restoration
Protect rivers, restore degraded land and build up the ecosystems people depend on.
Community Building
Linking restoration to livelihoods, food security, local enterprise and long-term resilience.
Expand Opportunity
Investing in education, digital capability, leadership, and the confidence of the generation coming next.
Flagship Initiative: Tano River
An integrated initiative combining ecological restoration, water stewardship, sustainable livelihoods, and local knowledge.
Tano River: A Vision
A river carries more than water; it carries memory, livelihood, and generations of connection. The Tano River vision brings ecological restoration, water stewardship, sustainable livelihoods, and local knowledge into one long-term program, built to create healthier landscapes and stronger futures together.
“To help create a healthier river landscape that supports biodiversity, resilience and dignified opportunity for the generations living along it today and those yet to come.”
Africa Climate Week 2027 | Kumasi
In 2027, OMEF is working toward a major convening in Kumasi, Ghana bringing community knowledge, traditional leadership, policy, philanthropy, enterprise, and technology into the same room. This is not just more talk. This is about relationships and practical pathways to delivery. Dates, venue and program details will be published as soon as formally confirmed.
Working Together to Make an Impact
We work with organizations that come to the table with their own experience, networks and ideas. Featured partners are ESG News, Cyber Future Foundation, AgriLedger, and Climate Live.
